The food was delicious but the cockroaches were just too much. There were about 15 crawling on the wall right next to our table. I've seen plenty of roaches in my time, but this was quite disgusting.

The restaurant had a visible cockroach problem and the staff didn't seem too concerned about it. It definitely ruined our experience.

Service was really slow for a restaurant with only a few tables in it.

They seemed to be out of most of the things on the menu, but the staff was charming. First hookah, so much fun!

It felt like they immediately treated us differently because of having a groupon, even as to where we were seated in the restaurant. Since I use groupons often to try new places, they ensured that I will not be going back.

Staff was unprofessional and was blasting rap all throughout the restaurant. This made us uncomfortable and took away from the ambiance of the dining area.

This place has very mixed review, so I had no expectation when I go there. The menu is simple, the deco is very simple also. I travelled in Morocco before, so though I am not an expert, but know a little about the food. Ordered some staples, Humus, merguez sausages, ground beef, bread, .....etc. I actually feels like rather homey, not fancy, rather like your aunt serving you something at home. The place is very dark..... Did not try the hookah, don't like sharing a smoke, it is not hygienic in my opinion. It was so so all round.

From Our Editors

Under the gentle light of curvaceous sconces, Tangier Restaurant and Bar's guests can indulge their taste buds with an assortment of Moroccan-inspired tapas and entrees from the menu. In addition to plating fresh pita bread and traditional Moroccan–style lamb sausage, the cooks also stir chickpeas, onions, and raisins into steaming orders of couscous or glaze chicken with a homemade harissa sauce made from hot peppers. To accompany meals, belly dancers occasionally perform in the dining room, traveling between diners' tables with the controlled, fluid grace of an Olympian swimming in a lap pool of maple syrup.
