About Water Brook Dental
Dr. Marlene Shaw is a graduate of Washington DC's own storied Howard University School of Dentistry. She has been in private practice here for 21 years and practices all facets of Dentistry. She favors doing cosmetic dentistry. Her first office in upper NW DC, Shepherd Park opened in January of 2006, and the 14th Street location opened in August of 2011. The name Water Brook Dental was chosen as a distinct name in dentistry (we are the only one) and was selected with a calming effect in mind.
We work with all PPO insurances as well as Straight DC Medicaid and Medicare plans that are managed through United Healthcare. We also offer a Membership for patients that have no insurance which has great features, ask us for details.
We see patients at our 14th Street location on Tuesdays thru Thursdays, and if Monday or Friday is a better day for you, we can see you at our office in Shepherd Park.
If you're looking for a regular dental office, we can take care of all your dental needs, and we have a good trusted network of specialists for referrals when needed.
To provide explanation for the limitations on Groupon redemption, we give the following answers:
-Booking is limited to 2 vouchers per household in consecutive appointments on the same day. Appointments are expected to take a total of 30 minutes of scan/doctor time. In cases where appointments are cancelled or not shown up to, more than 2 people not coming to an appointment is a burden on the office's resources.
-(Waiver) Patients will sign a consent form at receipt of delivery of the Nightguard
-Voucher not valid in conjunction with other office promotions.
-Consultation required. The first visit will be a consultation in part. Should the Doctor see a priority that supersedes the Nightguard as a prerequisite, it will fall to the patient to comply or a refund will be given. It is very unlikely that such a situation will present however.
-Insurance. Cannot be combined with voucher, this crosses a line into possible insurance fraud.
-No Delivery. Final product will be taken home with the patient after test fitting at the office.
