I thoroughly enjoyed the play. I loved the staging. The lighting was very well done. The names on the side was especially moving as I have been to Oahu and have seen the USS Arizona memorial! The actors did a great job, both acting and singing. The staff was very friendly, especially the patio bartenders.
The Ogunquit Playhouse always puts on a great production. Seven Brides for Seven Brother was fantastic! The staff were super friendly and helpful.
The tickets were in the rear of the theater which made it somewhat difficult to see. There were other seats available but the box office would it allow people who purchased a groupon to move into those seats. The production itself was great but was not pleased with the announcement that we were not cviewing a finished product and that additional scenic elements and new choreography was being rehearsed the following day to add into the show. If I had known, I would never have purchased a ticket
Love the Ogunquit Playhouse. So glad that Groupon makes it affordable for everyone to go!!
The show was GREAT!!!!!! Dinner at Bintiffs was also a wonderful choice.
Ogunquit Playhouse is a great place to go!
So entertaining!! The set was amazing and the choir was great!
Worked like a charm....incredible performance!
The show is great but I had a problem seeing the stage. I would suggest aisle seats (my seat was center section, middle of the row). Luckily for me, the people blocking my view left at intermission so I was able to see the second act without any problems.
From Our Editors
When Broadway showman Walter Hartwig and his wife Maude opened the Ogunquit Playhouse in 1933, they likely never realized they were establishing a theatrical legacy. Then again, they might have had an inkling—from the very beginning, the playhouse hosted performances from luminaries including Ethel Barrymore, Bette Davis, and Walter Matthau. Even today it’s not unusual to see famous names and attached talents treading its historic boards, such as Stefanie Powers from Hart to Hart or Charles Shaughnessy from The Nanny. It’s all part of the theater’s mission to provide the best shows possible while promoting the local arts. Along with star-studded Broadway musicals, the stage hosts dance shows, children’s theater, and acting workshops for the next generation of spotlight-stealers.
