Students attending this class will learn enameling, the specialized process of fusing powdered glass to metal to create colorful pieces. They will transform their own designs into jewelry, small objects, or wall pieces in metals such as silver and copper. This class is a supportive environment, for students of all levels, features demonstrations and individualized instruction. Some supplies included; students will purchase enamels that they use in large quantities.
Wheel Fun: Pottery for Tweens 10-13 Years
Students attending this class will learn how to use the pottery wheel with the amazing Ms. Lee! In this class, students will make simple forms on the wheel as well as lots of other projects off the wheel through handbuilding. Using the ceramics studio puts them in a professional setting that they just don't experience at school. Note: All levels welcome. Supplies included.
Creative Painting: All Levels
Students attending this class will be using still lives, photographs of landscapes and other subjects and learn to apply and explore basic concepts of color theory, composition, and other formal elements of art. Experience creative approaches to acrylic or oil easel painting in this lively class geared to both beginners and experienced painters. Using still lives, photographs of landscapes and other subjects. Note: A supply list is provided during the first class when properties and uses of various materials are discussed. Experienced students should bring whatever materials they already have.
Projects in Clay: Sculpture + Vessels (Advanced)
Students attending this class will learn how to create one of a kind vessels and sculpture. In this class, figures, masks and abstract work are demonstrated; ceramic and mixed media techniques are explored. Teaching is individualized with the goal of stretching your creativity and originality. The evening section is open to beginners.
Clay Sculpture & Pottery for Kids (7-10 years)
Students attending this class will learn to make a set of handmade dishes that they can actually use at home, fantasy sculptures, beads for necklaces, and more. This class have possibilities that are endless for the projects that they can create in this after school clay class, which will be nothing like what is offered at school.
