Although this was advertised as an adults only event, there were children inside the venue. VIP was not really a VIP section as I saw many people there without VIP bands. I think I overpaid for something that was not exclusive or different in anyway than if I have paid for the lower price non-VIP tickets. The music was good but I was not able to enjoy it since the people who purchased VIP tickets were not provided with their own viewing section. There were quite a few people who had a few too many and there was no security in sight for when they got out of hand. (Fight in the bathroom.) I would recommend the event even with these flaws for those who enjoy island music.

From Our Editors

Though Christopher Columbus is best known for discovering America, he also inadvertently spawned West Palm Beach?s Tropical Rum Festival. Columbus introduced sugar cane to the Caribbean region on his famous voyages, and sugar?s byproduct, molasses, is what gets distilled into rum. The festival celebrates the now-popular spirit?s diverse styles. And as rum flows, revelers can dance to reggae, dubstep and hip-hop tunes, rather than the strange music of the late 1400s, which was created by tickling ducks.
