About this Business
This is the second time I have eaten at Marketplace cafe. Both times the food is a little slow to the finish, but both times it has been hot. And fresh. 1st time was the fried chicken breast burger, this time the Texas burger. Both had good flavor. The wait staff is very nice, not crowded either time. I believe I will phone my order in about 10 min sooner.
The Groupon has expired so I only got the 10.50 I paid.
The owner managed to confuse us enough that we were charged for two items that were supposed to be sides to the Shawarma platter.
Not worth going bac.
Good food, good prices. I'll be back! Very clean .
My onion rings were over fried shrimp P.O. boy was good but roll could be better if it was baguette not store bought bun
Everyone seemed to like their food that we received. They seemed to be out of quite a few things from the menu. The other problem was that I bought $40 worth of vouchers for $20, but since it came in $10 increments, I could only use one at that time. I was very disappointed in that!
the food was stale, customer service was horrible
Very bland mediocre Mediterranean food. I expect so much more since it is located right by the Hanover. Pita was soft gooey. and the food was bland no taste or spices what so ever. I rather stick to Phoenicia's Deli or Arpis Deli on Westheimer where there is aunthentic deliciously prepared Mediterranean food.
great food, amazing staff
No working A/C throughout the whole facility. I was. It told when ordering my food item that they had run out, I had to wait 10minutes for my boyfriend to get his food to find out. When given the option to pick another item, I was not given the entirety of the food plate.
From Our Editors
The dishes at Marketplace Cafe have been culled from six-generations-family recipes that have their roots in Europe and the Middle East. Their locally-raised, halal meats can be found in gyros, shawarmas, and sandwiches, while savory rounds of pita accompany baba ganoush and platters of chipotle-crusted tilapia. Savory meals pair well with Marketplace Cafe's collection of specialty beverages, such as mint lemonade, banana and passion fruit juice, and avocado smoothies blended with honey and milk.
