From Our Editors
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We offer a large selection of fashion forward dresses, shoes and fashion jewelry for tweens and teens. Because of the weekly parties, BatMitzvahs, sweet sixteen etc. going on, we keep a list of all dresses sold to one particular party so no two girls wear the same dress.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Dress Code opened in July 2010 after owner Mary D'Anca saw that there was a need for a place that young girls can go to find a dress. We know girls are out of their element when dress shopping so we try to make them feel as comfortable as possible.
What do you love most about your job?
I wear several hats to run my business and no matter which hat I'm wearing at any particular time, I love them all. I can tell you that I put special attention to my buying and merchandising the store, but my greatest satisfaction is when I see a happy customer leave the store with a smile.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
The best reaction I got from a customer was about a year ago when a mom, daughter and aunt came in looking for a dress for her sweet sixteen party. They had been looking for weeks and were worn out. Well they found one at Dress Code and were so happy she hugged me and invited me to her party
