Owner Alessandra Siniscalco opened Café Piazza Dolce in 2005 as a business school graduate with roots in Avellino, Italy and a passion for food, but ended up becoming the chef of a celebrated Italian trattoria serving classic Neapolitan dishes. The eatery's stylish interior reflects the hip sensibilities of the surrounding neighborhood, while also paying homage to the old country. The restaurant's menu reflects this attention to heritage, with a variety of classic Italian pastas, pizzas, and grilled dishes from every region of Italy. This true trattoria also focuses on their desserts with homemade mascarpone tiramisu, lobster tails, and Sicilian cannolis. The multi-level restaurant offers an array of ambiances, from the canvas-encased gazebo dining room where diners can observe passers-by, the street level bar with an open kitchen, to the cozy lower-level private dining room.
