The food was good and the service friendly but the place needs updating in terms of furniture, fixtures, flooring, etc.

The service was excellent as was the ambiance. I had my 6 year old with me and they treated her like a little princess despite its having a bit of a bar/pub feel. The food was delicious too. Two thumbs up!

Serving size! I ordered a chicken stir fry and they forgot to put any chicken in it. It was served over angelhair pasta, which filled 3/4 of the bowl that it was served in. The stir-fry vegetable amount was barely 4 Tbsps. on top. When I asked about the chicken exemption- the server brought me some pieces of plain dry sliced chicken on a small plate (after I was finished eating the other.) For the menu price, it was very inadequate, and would not have been enough for a man or someone with a healthy appetite.

I thought the service was very good , server had a smile nice conversation great service , but the food did not taste good , the chicken was breaded , not a option to have or not was asked ,and the breading was burnt in places and tasted the same ,the piece was to big for the bun it made it sloppy to eat ,my burger was okay taste like something i would fry at home and way to much spice .

From Our Editors

Since it first threw open its Tudor-style doors in 1878, Windsor's oldest tavern has kept whistles wet and toes tapping with beers, live music, and a full menu of sandwiches and pub-style entrees such as fish 'n' chips and shepherd's pie. A dozen different brews flood from the tap, slaking the thirsts of guests plugging away at open mic and trivia nights. Beyond the main dining room’s checkered floors, long communal-style tables, and crimson walls, private rooms host parties of up to 100 merrymakers or several million thimbles.
