A tasty, comfortable place. Good food, nice atmosphere. The servers and staff are recovering mental health clients. They work here to reintegrate into society. They are charming people that look like the person next door. They have invisible problems which they are working to overcome. Eat there. You will be satisfied and are supporting some of the weaker members of society.

They offer gluten free chicken strips which are delicious. The staff is very knowledgeable on food allergies, and are also very friendly. I highly recommend this place. Also, it is tax-free as they are non-profit.

Not fancy but good food for the price and very friendly. They screwed up our order a little but gave us a free desert and that was very good!

Had the cheeseburger special with sweet potato fries. It was excellent. The burger was fresh made, not a frozen pattie. Service was also excellent.

From Our Editors

Nestled between the homestyle meatloaf and fluffy pancakes, Ten Friends Diner has something very different on the menu. More than a family-friendly restaurant, Ten Friends is a nonprofit organization that works with those recovering from mental illness in order to help them find their place in the community once again. They specifically hire mental-health survivors in order to give them a safe space to learn new skills and regain their footing—they even have facilitators on staff to help with the adjustment. Customers who eat there can rest assured that not only will they receive a great meal, but that they're helping their community, too. At the cozy diner, staff chefs treat visitors to freshly made meals—from cheesy custom omelettes to juicy burgers. For dessert, they whip up handcrafted baked goods, such as daily pie and muffins.
