Mod Mex Kitchen specializes in fresh, modern Mexican cuisine, eschewing a sprawling menu for a smaller, more focused lineup of scratch-made tacos and burritos for dine-in and takeout. The cooks fill their 10 tacos and 5 burritos with everything from chipotle-spiced pork and fresh chili-lime slaw to grilled steak and pickled red onion. They then top these creations with housemade condiments, such as a spicy red salsa and mild cilantro cream sauce.
But just because they keep their menu lean and mean doesn't mean they aren't willing to go a little outside the box. Any burrito, for instance, can come "Cali style', which substitutes rice for french fries. Vegetarian-friendly options also speckle the curated menu, including a veggie-centric burrito, an fried avocado taco, and a cheese-stuffed quesadilla.
