The tasting room is in the process of moving to a new location in the same building. The new space will be more comfortable, but the staff were warm and welcoming and made the experience very pleasant despite the surroundings.

From Our Editors

It all started when Erin and Jason Morin decided to make their own wine for their wedding. Much like a major league slugger facing off against a little league pitcher, the wine was a huge hit. The native Washingtonians turned what might have become a one-off deal into a life-long passion with Ancestry Cellars. There, they craft wines made from grapes grown in the eastern areas of the state. These wines range in style from the sweet, before-dinner Riesling that flourishes with notes of guava, tart grapefruit, and a distinct minerality, to the 2011 reserve Cabernet, which conjures up hints of blackberry and tobacco.
