It all started when Erin and Jason Morin decided to make their own wine for their wedding. Much like a major league slugger facing off against a little league pitcher, the wine was a huge hit. The native Washingtonians turned what might have become a one-off deal into a life-long passion with Ancestry Cellars. There, they craft wines made from grapes grown in the eastern areas of the state. These wines range in style from the sweet, before-dinner Riesling that flourishes with notes of guava, tart grapefruit, and a distinct minerality, to the 2011 reserve Cabernet, which conjures up hints of blackberry and tobacco.
