Best Couponing Apps 2014

BY: Cuckoo4Coupons |Dec 11, 2018

top-coupon-apps-2014 I love Coupon apps! You can use them in addition to sales and manufacturer coupons – and there’s no printing coupons required to get your savings. If you have more than one coupon app you can overlap offers. For instance if you have 2 coupon apps paying out $0.50 on a gallon of milk you can submit for both offers getting $1 back on your milk purchase.  There are lots of apps, but I’ll list the best ones only.  Some are more user friendly than others and you usually need a smart phone to access them (but not always.)

Best Couponing Apps 2014:

ibotta

#1: iBotta

The iBotta app is by far the best one available right now.  It has quick payouts (sometimes within minutes) and is the most user friendly on the market. Here’s how it works:
  • Download iBotta for FREE – works on Android and iPhones
  • Unlock rebates by doing simple tasks (learning a fact, answering one question, etc)
  • Rebates will expire so make sure you watch the dates
  • Buy the items you want from the store listed/make sure item matches
  • Take a picture of receipt and UPC and redeem on your smartphone
  • Money is in your account until you transfer it to PayPal or Venmo ($5 minimum)
  • They are also now offering gift cards to cash out with only a $2 minimum
  • They are always adding new stores including online shopping
Pros: Quick Payouts (from minutes to 24 hours) User Friendly Cons: Can only use at the stores listed Great customer service checkout51

#2: Checkout51

Checkout51 is also another great shopping app!  You can use it at any store and it’s fairly user friendly. Cash Back Credits are usually given within 24 hours. Here’s how it works:
  • Download Checkout51 for FREE – works on Android and iPhones
  • Browse offers - Offers will expire so make sure you watch the dates
  • Buy the items you want from ANY store – make sure item matches
  • Take a picture of receipt to redeem on your smartphone OR online
  • Money is in your account until you cash out, a physical check is mailed to you (minimum balance $20)
Pros: Use at any store You DO NOT need a smart phone, you can submit pictures of your receipts/barcodes online No scanning of UPC codes needed Cons: Cash Back Credits balance must be at least $20 each time before you are able to cash out shopkick

#3: Shopkick

I hear a lot of people talk abut Shopkick, and it has some great high-value offers.  You have to live in a big city to be able to use it.  In small towns you don’t have the stores you need to use this app. Here’s how it works:
  • Download Shopkick for FREE – works on Android and iPhones
  • You get Rewards (kicks) for doing things (walking in a store)
  • You get extra kicks for scanning at item in the store, and more if you purchase an item
  • You can find exclusive deals at stores near you
  • You can find coupons on Shopkick
  • Kicks = Money’ Example, 500 Kicks = $2 and use these kicks to redeem for gift cards
  • They have a referral program
Pros You can earn Kicks without making a purchase Cons You have to make sure the app is open before you walk in the store Doesn’t work in small towns receipt-hog

#4: SavingStar

I really like SavingStar because it pays you to do something you already do anyway: Grocery shop!  Get paid via paypal or Amazon Gift Cards! Here’s how it works:
  • First, you’ll want to download the app to your phone and Sign Up or Login to your account for FREE – works on Android and iPhones
  • After you visit Target, Walmart, or Walgreens or any other participating  grocery store, snap a picture of your receipt
  • Get cashback for buying certain items.  All items are listed on their site so you know what items are participating
Pros: You can connect it to your grocery savings card (like at CVS & Rite Aid) and at many other stores for even easier savings, no  need to take a picture of your receipt. Cons: It doesn't work at Kmart cuckoo-app (1)

#5: Top 10 Coupon Deals

The Cuckoo for Coupon Deals mobile app is very straight-forward and easy to use.  It shows a list of the top 10 coupon deals each day right on the homepage of the app. Click “next” at the bottom to view more top coupon deals.   It pairs deals from Ibotta, Checkout51, and all other apps, to in-store sales, telling you where the absolute best deals are at. All couponers should have this app that has rave reviews. shopmium

#6: Shopmium

Although I really like Shopmium this app is not very user friendly.  You need a lot of patience with this app and payouts are slow – sometimes 2 days or more. Shopmium is always updating their app to make improvements. You can use Shopmium at ANY store. Here’s how it works:
  • Download Shopmium App (see below) and use referral code GGUKHMRL - works on Android and iPhones
  • Shopmium is available in the Apple App Store OR CLICK HERE to upload the application.
  • Shopmium is available in Google Play OR CLICK HERE to upload the application.
  • You will get an offer for a FREE Lindt Chocolate Bar upon signup – expires in 8 days
  • Browse offers – Offers will expire so make sure you watch the dates
  • Buy the items you want from ANY store – make sure item matches
  • Take a picture of receipt and UPC and redeem on your smartphone
  • As soon as they verify your purchase you get your money right in your PayPal account (each time)
  • Referral plan – if you have referral credits they pay them out as you redeem each offer.  For example, you have an offer for $0.50 on Yogurt.  You have $2 in referral credit.  You pay $1.69 for the yogurt – shopmium gives you $0.50 for the offer and another $1.19 for the difference.  $1.19 comes from your referral credits and you still have $0.81 in referral credits left.  Basically you get reimbursed for the full cost of the product.
Pros: You get paid each time you submit offer via PayPal. Use at ANY store. Sometimes their offers give you back the FULL purchase price of the product. Cons: Slower payouts Referral program not very good Less user friendly.
