The 13th Floor Haunted House debuts in San Antonio with a horror show designed by fright experts. With a VIP Fastpass, fear enthusiasts can skip the general-admission lines and lead their scared sweetie or ghoulish gang through “Unearthed,” a basement-level attraction that features unknown frights. A spooked elevator then leads visitors up to the 13th Floor, an unlucky ward filled with graphic, gut-punching sights. The grimly costumed actors won’t touch you, but they’ll certainly help you perfect your best bloodcurdling scream and humiliate any weak-bladdered enemies that pursued you into the dark scare house.

A sister to Denver’s popular scare shack of the same name, 13th Floor combines humanity’s instinctive dread of the number 13 with a local legend from the 1940s, which tells the story of several school children who spent the night in the historic building before perishing in a train accident the next day.
