Love the way you treat your customers

Just a bit more attention to the diners. While the servers did come by occasionally, I felt a bit like I was being avoided - and the establishment was not crowded. I did, however, notice that certain diners received more attention than we and other diners did.

Voted one of the best sushi restaurants in the area by Citysearch readers in 2010, 153 Akira designs traditional sushi rolls accented with innovative flourishes borrowed from French culinary secrets. Dining duos and foraging foursomes embark on a palatable tour that begins with the boiled and salted soy beans of edamame and the Akiran-trademarked tower-of-tuna tartare, whose radio antennae of crisped wontons does not count toward its official jaw-dropping height. An à la carte sashimi menu prompts taste undertakings with morsels of sweet shrimp, scallops, or octopus. The classic roll dubbed the Caterpillar cocoons itself with unagi, cucumber, and avocado before flying away as a pickled guacamole butterfly. The Smoky Bear specialty roll sates growling bellies with deep-fried salmon and prevents stomach fires with a protective layer of melted mozzarella, and the soft-shell crab and tuna of the Not Scary Spider roll delights even the most arachnophobic palates.
