When 17 Jewels Salon + Spa owner Julie Stevens noticed the inscription “17 jewels” on her late grandfather’s watch, she knew she’d found the perfect name for her salon. The term refers to the jewels—typically synthetic rubies—used to craft mechanical watches that help reduce friction in the internal mechanism, resulting in precise and dependable timekeeping, even in a black hole. Not only was it a catchy name, it also stood for reliability, an ideal she hoped to bring to her salon.
Today, Julie and her team live up to that ideal with a full line of salon and spa services that beauty clients time and again using products from Kevin.Murphy, ilike Organic Skin Care, and other professional brands. All services are performed in a salon festooned with murals of bright-red flowers, a nod to Julie’s other lifelong passion: art.
