18th Annual Texas Home & Garden Show
This September, Reliant Park buzzes with hundreds of expert remodelers announcing innovations for gardening, home decor, and do-it-yourself projects. Some of the industry's top brands such as Sears Home Services and Sleep Number keep representatives on hand to demonstrate and explain product features, from jacuzzi controls to the most advanced garden-gnome repellents. Seminars also will help spread wisdom by showcasing the skills of various presenters. Michael Graves—master painter of faux finishes such as brick, marble, and woodgrain—will show off his work, and Texas Home Improvement radio's own Jim Dutton will share his expertise. Now in its 34th year, the Houston Home Show returns to the George R. Brown Convention Center in Downtown Houston with exhibitions on the latest styles. Within the exhibit hall, representatives from a laundry list of brands demonstrate and explain features on everything from spa controls to the difference between memory foam and traditional mattresses.The Foodie Spotlight will feature cooking demos (Saturday and Sunday) from some of Houston’s Finest Chefs (Flemings, Capital Grille, Federal American Grill, Tango & Malbec, and Del Frisco’s Grille).
