- $79 for one entry and one spectator pass to the Virginia Super Reebok Spartan Race on Saturday, August 22 (up to $200 total value)
This year’s Virginia Super takes place on the scenic, mountainous ground of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Over the course of a little over eight miles, runners encounter a wide variety of extremely challenging obstacles—some strung with barbed wire or covered in mud. Spectators can get up close to some of these obstacles, cheer on finishers at the Gladiator Pit near the course’s end, and relax in a festival area with live music.
Start times will be assigned and available 10 days before the event; open-start runners will set off at 12:15 p.m. or later. An additional $14 insurance fee and $1.50 processing fee are due upon registration. Parking is available onsite for $10 per vehicle.
Reebok Spartan Races
Extreme athletes banded together to design Reebok Spartan Races' intense courses orchestrated over standardized distances, each strewn with natural and man-made obstacles to test mind-body fitness, resilience, stamina, and strength, designed to leave participants exhausted and exhilarated. In waves of about 200, runners collect smudges and stains as they perform box jumps, haul heavy sandbags, and juke feral linebackers. Depending on where in the world they're participating, the course may be as short as 3 miles or, for extremely practiced athletes, as long as a full marathon.
