Aja Vu, the Steely Dan tribute band, hails from the San Francisco Bay area and have shared the stage with The Doobie Brothers, The Ford Brothers, and Eddie Money, while honing their musical chops and faithful reproductions of jazz hands. The most sincere form of flattery continues with Caravanserai, professional Santana enthusiasts. The sonic impersonators wrangle the same instruments used by Santana, including Paul Reed Smith guitars, to echo Santana’s distinctive sound down to the flutter of the timbales and the grumble of Carlos’ belly after many meal-less hours on the road.
