What You'll Get
Almost anything can be improved with music, as evidenced by tuba-accompanied balcony serenades, operatic State of the Union addresses, and yodeled bank statements. Tune your ears to the sweet sounds on stage with today’s Groupon for one ticket to see Led Zeppelin tribute band Led Zepagain and Van Halen tribute band Fan Halen at the Tower Theatre on May 21 at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Choose between the following options:
For $20, you get one ticket for a reserved seat in rows A–J (a $40 value).
For $15, you get one general-admission ticket (a $30 value).
Climb the stairway to Panama at the historic Tower Theatre as two tribute bands bring the music of hard-rock legends Led Zeppelin and Van Halen to the stage. The Jimmy Page–approved Led Zepagain re-creates the mystique of Led Zeppelin hits including “Stairway to Heaven,” “Kashmir,” and “The Song Remains the Same” while dressed in period-accurate attire, such as Jimmy Page’s dragon pants and Robert Plant’s leprechaun hat. The most sincere form of flattery continues with Fan Halen, who wrangle the same instruments used by Van Halen, including a replica of Eddie Van Halen's signature Frankenstein guitar, on classics such as “Panama,” “Jump,” “Runnin’ With the Devil,” and “La Vie en Rose.”
The action unfolds inside the circa-1939 Tower Theatre, a destination in and of itself, featuring neon-tube lighting, ultraviolet murals from Dutch-American artist Anthony Heinsbergen, ghostly hauntings from three former U.S. presidents, and a restored marquee.
Groupon customers can redeem their Groupons before the show or at the venue, but general-admission seats are first come, first served.
