About 3 Tv Phoenix 10k and Half Marathon

Dr. Art Mollen established the Phoenix 10K and half marathon in 1976, and in the process, he united the entire city behind a sport that was still just at its outset. In the years since, Olympic gold medalists and American record holders have run alongside countless first-time racers in what has become an iconic southwest road race.

Today, the event features a trio of races: a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. All three courses are flat, fast, and certified, weaving participants through the heart of Phoenix and alongside the light rail on Central Avenue. After everyone has crossed the finish line, post-race festivities keep the party going with medal ceremonies, a beer garden, and live music from popular local bands.
