39th Symphony Decorators' Show House
When Clarence Harlan Hurlock Sr. designed Oak Acre in 1928, it was a labor of love. He paid attention to the Antebellum-style home's every last detail, making sure each room was in line with his vision, and paying particular attention to landscaping features. The end result was beloved by the family, who has owned it for nearly 90 years.
Now, attendees of the 39th Symphony Decorators' Show House can pass under the stately white mansion's four elegant columns and breeze through the front door for a look inside. There, among the antique trappings, they'll find 22 spaces that have been redesigned by 18 interior designers. These designers have transformed rooms such as the library, kitchen, and billiards room, creating modern tableaus that utilize the latest home trends.
Guests can gain inspiration for their own projects from these new trends and purchase various accessories and furnishings used by the designers. They can also purchase specialty goods and crafts at the onsite boutique and grab refreshments at the onsite cafe.
