About 49 Social
Since 49 Social opened in May 2011, foodies from Zagat to NECN's "TV Diner" have being gushing over its menu of eclectic American cuisine. Chef Mike Lishchynsky is the mastermind behind the eatery's upscale fare, which includes artfully plated entrees of lobster, crustaceans, and confit chicken served to diners seated in three main dining rooms. A wall of wine bottles tucked within dark wood cubby holes lines the back wall of the bar where diners peruse a separate, yet equally unique, bar menu that features not only short rib sliders and flatbreads but frog legs with waffles. Bartenders stay busy pouring out ten styles of cocktails blended fresh with basil, jalapeno infused sugarcane syrup, and whole coconut trees, while a well-stocked selection of draught and bottled beers includes Estrella Damm Inedit, which was created by elBulli restaurant's Chef Ferran Adria.
To complement the restaurant's upscale menu, 49 Social's three levels—a main dining floor, mezzanine, and granite-wall lounge lit by floating candles—are accented with wrought iron décor and illuminated by crystal chandeliers.
