4935 Bar and Kitchen
With its sleek wood floors, textured walls, and red drop lights, 4935 Bar and Kitchen feels decidedly modern, and its take on French cuisine is no exception. Chef Ashish Alfred, who studied at the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan, blends his classical training with elements of Indian cuisine to create a singular culinary experience. Specialties include rack of lamb with apricot-saffron purée and minted potatoes, tandoori pork chop brined with coriander, cumin, tumeric, and garam masala, and pomegranate-glazed duck breast with lentils and crispy Brussels sprouts. These rich, flavorful dishes pair with house cocktails and innovative desserts, such as the cardamom beignet with rose-water sorbet.
