Legendary singer-songwriter and acclaimed cabaret artist Amanda McBroom brings her new show, Up Close and Personal … The Songs That Sang My Life, to New York City’s famed 54 Below. This entertaining and witty performer will take on some of the songs that helped mold her, some written by herself and others penned by such musical luminaries as Leonard Cohen, Judy Collins and Jacques Brel. McBroom, a Golden Globe winner, wrote the famed song “The Rose,” from the movie of the same name starring Bette Midler. In addition to her acclaimed jazz club appearances, she’s also performed on many of the great stages of the world, including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
