Lena Hall blew Broadway audiences away as part of the original cast of Kinky Boots and in her Tony-winning turn opposite Neil Patrick Harris in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Now she comes to Feinstein's/54 Below with her brand-new musical memoir of her childhood in the Villa Satori, her psychedelic family home in the heart of San Francisco's Haight Ashbury. She recounts the trials and tribulations of growing up in a legendary hippie household through intimate storytelling, interpretive dance and humor -- all set to a dizzyingly eclectic soundtrack that features classical, soul, new wave, punk rock and more. Hall got her first big break singing for Pope John Paul II in front of some 50,000 people at Candlestick Stadium at the young age of 7. She was a member of the Young People's Teen Musical Theatre Company in San Francisco until she joined the national tour of Cats at 17. When not on the Broadway stage, Hall performs with her band The Deafening.
