The obstacle course race takes place on Saturday, October 12, at Straddleline ORV Park, with waves of contestants leaving every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The 3- and 7-mile courses feature exhilarating obstacles such as barbed-wire crawls, ziplining, and ladder crossings, but they are designed for all athletic levels. If participants feel uncomfortable about a particular obstacle, they can enlist the help of their team or other racers or skip the obstacle with little or no humiliation. The event also includes music, food, and drinks. A portion of the proceeds will go to charity. See the FAQ for more info.

About 7 Summits Adventure Race
The 7 Summits Adventure Race (7SAR) is inspired by one of the climbing world's greatest challenges: scaling each continent’s highest peak. That means Mt. Everest in Asia, Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, Vinsson Massif in Antarctica, and so on. One of the elite climbers who mastered that challenge, in an effort to make the thrill of the conquest more accessible to everyone, founded the 7 Summits Adventure Race.
The exhilarating obstacle course, which has both a 3- and 7-mile route, is divided into seven sections, with challenge and scenery inspired by every continent's highest peaks. Throughout their treks, runners encounter obstacles designed by a former US Navy SEAL BUD/S Instructor to test them mentally and physically, including barbed wired crawls, ziplines, ladder crossings, and live weapons firing blanks. Race registration includes access to live music, food, and drinks, and 7 Summits donates $5 of each registration fee to One Day’s Wages, Children’s Cancer Research Fund, and Disabled American Veterans.
