I had been on one other whale watch prior to this, however the Cape Ann Whale Watch was far superior. The staff onboard were friendly, knowledgeable and provided a running commentary as we were going out to see the whales, while we were seeing them and also on the return trip. We saw many whales the day of our whale watch and were told what kind they were and also the names of some of them. It was very exciting and very informative. Would definitely go to Cape Ann Whale Watch again!!

It’s an amazing experience! We saw at least 6 whales, together, and very close to our cruise. The crew were fantastic! They are truly whale lovers, and giving us informative tips to whale watching all the time. Food and drinks on the cruise were good and not expensive. We spent $100 on taxi to get here and back from Cambridge, which is a lot more than the tickets, but I feel it’s well worth it.

About Cape Ann Whale Watch

Since 1979, the whale-watching pioneers of Cape Ann Whale Watch have escorted more than half a million spectators fascinated by the sea's magnificent leviathans on three- to four-hour treks 15 miles off the Gloucester coast, earning it a spot on the Top 5 American Whale-Watching Tours by Joshua Horwitz, author of War of the Whales. Aboard the lightning-fast 115-foot Hurricane II, passengers can witness the natural grace of humpback whales, finback whales, dolphins, and pirates disguised as mermaids feeding and frolicking just feet from the boat. In the course of the approximately 30-mile circuit, a naturalist from Whale Cetacean Alliance narrates excursions, illumining the sight of each water dweller by discussing why whales breach, how to recognize individual humpbacks, and various feeding styles.
