Q:

I have my PPL in Single Engine Land Airplane and Sailplane. I recently checked and got a Flight Review in a sailplane. I was wanting to use this Groupon to get 3 TOL in order to act as PIC of the Airplane so I can take my girlfriend up. Is this possible?

Hi Luke, thanks for the inquiry. This program is designed as an introduction to general aviation and follows a set format. You could use this promotion to get aquitainted with the school and then schedule an actual renters checkout training flight to accomplish your goals.

I already have my PPL in Airplane Single Engine Land and Sailplane. I recently checked and did a Flight Review in a Sailplane. I would like to use this Groupon to get three takeoffs and landings in order to act as Pilot in Command of the aircraft so I can take my girlfriend up for a flight. Is that possible?

Q:

Would this be appropriate for a 9 year old with an adult joining as well?

Kim E.  asked on  Mar 13, 2013

A:

Hi Kim, thanks for the inquiry. This would be a great experience if your 9 year old has an interest in doing the flight. There is no better way to encourage a young adult than by doing a hands on experience

Q:

My husband is a retired AF Col F-16 pilot (30 yrs) who is considering getting his Private Pilots Licensure - ( His Military certification is no longer valid) Would this experience be a good opportunity to inspire him to move forward in getting his license? (I realize the aircraft is no where near the thrill of an F-16, but I would like to encourage him to use his benefits and go back to flight school -) My second question is concerning my 16 year old granddaughter - would she need an adult to accompany her? Thanks BJM

becky m.  asked on  Mar 12, 2013

A:

Hi Becky, thank for the inquiry and please thank your husband for his service to our country. This flight would be a great way for him to experience the thrill of civilian flying. The airplanes are smaller and slower but the thrill is the same. Just think he can actually take you on the flight with him! Your 16 year old granddaughter should do just fine by herself. If you would like to join her for the flight, the charge is an additional $25. We will set you up with a headset and you can be part of all the action.

How long is the actual flight time?

Phyllis P.  asked on  Mar 12, 2013

A:

Hi Phyllis thanks for the inquiry. You will be in the airplane for about 45 minutes. The actual time in the air is 30-35 minutes depending on how long it takes the control tower to clear us for takeoff
