Q:

I agree with Jen M...was about to purchase this groupon and another one for my husband but was discouraged by the mandatory tip. I'm not saying I wouldn't tip but I don't like to be told it is required...so I didn't purchase. I think you may be losing customers by this one simple statement and in today's economy thats sad to loose customers.

Hey Maureen. My apologies. I must have overlooked it when setting up my deal. It is my experience that some Groupon customers have no inclination to tip, don't show up for their appointments and request extra for free, so I asked the deal to have a suggested tip and left the rest up to my Groupon adviser (who actually came in to my studio to experience my work before writing my deal.) I am a solo therapist offering quality, customized, therapeutic treatments. A Healing Massage Room is not your average massage mill. I genuinely care about my clients and my work and have had 100% satisfaction rating with everyone I've touched. In my perspective, I see this mistake as a statement of quality, especially because in America everyone knows that tips are always optional in every situation. Once again, my apologies. Please don't be offended. God bless and have a great night.

I submitted a request to change the vocabulary of the deal from "required" to "suggested." I doubt Groupon can modify the terms of a deal once it is launched. To everyone offended by this rule: Please, if you don't want to tip, then please do not tip. No tip does not decrease the quality of your treatment at my establishment.

Q:

Do you do prenatal massages and would the groupon count for those? If you do them, do you have the table where I can lay flat or do I have to lay on my side?

Katelyn W.  asked on  Nov 28, 2012

A:

Hey Katelyn, Thanks for your question. Yes, I do massage for pregnant women, however my table is standard and we would use the side-lying position.

Q:

If you buy the 2 for $60 can a couple use them together?

Anna  asked on  Nov 28, 2012

A:

No, I am a single therapist at my Healing Massage Room and subsequently cannot offer couples massages. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Q:

Why is there a 15% gratuity required? A gratuity is usually given if the client feels as though the service provided was above and beyond the "normal"... I was about to purchase this until I saw that. Please explain?

Jen M.  asked on  Nov 27, 2012

A:

If you don't want to leave a tip, please don't leave a tip.
