What You'll Get
Though less devastating than banana cream pies, cupcakes still provide effective suppressive fire during fancy dinner-party food fights attended by Larry, Curly, and/or Moe. Today's Groupon lets you lock and load with this smile-inducing ammunition: for $12, you get a dozen regular cupcakes (a $24 value) at A&J Bakery. Your Groupon is only redeemable at the sweeterie's Oak Lawn location. This Groupon cannot be used toward jumbo cupcakes.
A&J Bakery has been supplying sugar-starved Texans with made-from-scratch cakes, cupcakes, and sweet high-fives for more than 25 years. The hand-held confections are offered in 12 flavors. You can mix and match your dozen for a buffet of fruity flavors, such as the strawberry-infused red-velvet cupcake and the banana chocolate chip, or commit to a case of a singularly sublime sweetness. Offer a sour-cream coffee-flavored cupcake to sweeten a tense interaction with your mail carrier, or opt for a coconut-flaked Italian cream cake to brighten a soggy Monday. You can see a complete list of A&J's cupcake flavors here.
Cupcakes are widely adored for their sweet flavor, visual adorableness, and ability to bestow consumers with the ability to translate one's deepest internal thoughts into German. Reap the benefits of these magical muffins, or gift a dozen to a special someone whose heart is as sweet as the pillowy treats themselves.

About A&J Bakery
For more than a quarter of a century, bakery owners Roza and Sam Volfson—also owners of In the Mix Bakery in Plano—have labored at the ovens, honing their craft in professional kitchens, culinary schools, and catering services until they perfected the techniques used to craft each of their mouthwatering personalized desserts. After emigrating from Russia in the early '80s, the couple brought with them years of training in European pastry craft, along with Roza's own original recipes for conjuring lavishly decorated, multitier wedding cakes and then patiently chiseling them down into lovely petits fours. Beyond crafting custom confections for the likes of the Dallas Mavericks and Bank of America, the duo has also won numerous accolades for their sugary treats, including a 2010 nomination for Best Bakery for Sweets by D Magazine and an award for Best Cinnamon Rolls in Dallas from the Dallas Observer in 2003.
