Before photography, the only way people could preserve their most treasured memories was by forcing everyone around them to stand completely still for days at a time. Today's Groupon presents a less complicated option: for $65, you get a two-hour on-location or in-studio photo session ($75) for up to four people ($45) and a $50 credit toward prints from A. Lindahl Creations, up to a $170 total value. If you'd like to have more than four people in your session, a $15 sitting fee will be charged per extra person. Photographer Amanda Lindahl will travel up to 20 miles from her Lower Burnside studio (with a $1/mile travel fee for extra distance) for an indoor or outdoor shoot, so long as your location is within the hazelnut-guarded borders of Oregon.
Although Amanda Lindahl didn't invent the camera, that doesn't mean she won't invent it someday. Though Lindahl's professional portfolio extends into snapping shots of all sorts, she's especially skilled in photographing children. Lindahl takes the time to capture your child's imagination and personality on film, using her own curiosity and excitement to bring out the same in your kiddo. Put her nurturing directorial skills and time-freezing talents to the test by having her coax natural smiles out of your newborn, soon-to-be mom, high-school senior, pets, or family. You can also use your session to commemorate the joys of a marital engagement or the promise of potential in a post-graduation smile.
Lindahl prints all of her finished portraits in a professional photo lab on archival-quality matte photo paper—you can also spring for canvas prints for an additional fee to give portraits that unmistakable "Renoiritude." Prints start at $10 for a 4"x6" or 5"x5" and go up to $150 for a 20"x30". Multiple packages, with several photos in various sizes (including wallets), range from $35 to $225.
Besides capturing your soul into an easily portable format, photographic portraiture is a terrific way to reveal your best side in a controlled scenario and ensure that you'll have at least one Facebook photo of yourself where you're not hoisting a red plastic cup.
This deal is not valid for wedding or surrealist photography.

A. Lindahl Creations
Though they began as hobbies, art and photography had become focal points for Amanda Lindahl-Lemke by college. After six years studying both subjects stateside—with a stint at art school in Florence, Italy, in between—Amanda made the leap to the pros with A. Lindahl Creations. Whether clicking away in her studio or on location, she primarily photographs newborns and children, all adorably posed in color and black-and-white prints that subvert expectations through her use of props and surreal backdrops. Before her sessions even begin, Amanda discusses expectations and aesthetic preferences with her clients and takes time to forge bonds with each child, expectant mother, or family she photographs. The warm, hands-on approach earned her the "Friendliest Family Photographer" spot in "Red Tricycle’s" Totally Awesome Awards, which led to "Blue Tricycle’s" subsequent Even More Awesomer Than Your Awards Awards: No Tag-Backs Edition. After their shoot, clients can share a private online gallery with family and friends or peruse it for the images they want to preserve as prints.
