A Professor's Tour
What better way to learn about the history of Dallas than by following a professor around the city? A Professor's Tour allows visitors to do just that. Local history professors lead groups past historic sites ranging from the spot where Robert Johnson and Blind Lemon Jefferson recorded their first blues songs to the graves of various Dallas pioneers. All the while, the guides provide historical and contextual detail, creating a more enriching experience.
The tours help visitors explore the city through immigrants' stories, the growth of industry, and national tragedies that took place in Dallas, paying special attention to the memory of President Kennedy and the infamous Supreme Court Case, Ruby v. Texas. Tours take place day and night, trading detailed architecture for the sparkling city lights after the sun sets.
