Can a 3rd person ride along for the one-hour starter option? Is there an extra fee?

It depends on weight. The aircraft has certain weight and balance limits that we cannot exceed. The aircraft were designed for 4 160 pound people. Our instructor is around 180. Even if the weight is OK we cannot have too much weight in the front or rear seats as that will make the aircraft difficult to control (a very bad thing). So if it's 1 male weighing around 160 and 2 small people weighing around 120 each then it's fine. It is difficult to answer without knowing the exact weight of everyone and the temperature the day you fly. If it's warmer out the weight we can carry goes down. Since the deal is for 2 1-hour flights, if the weight doesn't work out you can take one person on the first flight and the other on the 2nd. We do not charge for the observer.
