A Taste of St. Augustine

All across the nation's oldest city, kitchens are abuzz with activity. Pastry chefs decorate cakes, grillmasters sear cuts of steak, and vintners decant glasses of their most delicate vintages. Why? A Taste of St. Augustine, the annual competition for the city's restaurant elite. Now in its 21st year, the festival will welcome thousands of visitors, who'll in turn sample the wares of over 20 different local restaurants, wineries, pubs, and seafood joints including—among many others—The Reef, Jaybirds, Hurricane Patty's, The Hyppo, Mojo Old City BBQ, Redfrog & McToad's, Villagio Grill, San Sebastian Winery. The event also features a free children's area with fun activities for younger groups. At the end, the best restaurants will walk away with awards in various categories, including the coveted People's Choice. A Taste of St. Augustine isn't just about food, however. The Committee and The Red River Band entertain crowds with live tunes.

Customer Reviews

Food was great and it's a great city

It. Was a lot of fun and the food was great!

Parking took us a little time to find a spot but it was worth it. The food my husband and I sampled was delicious. My hat goes off to the Red Frog and McToad restaurant for their lobster and mac &cheese. My husband really enjoyed their bourbon glazed ribs. All in all we would recommend this outing to everyone. Good food, good music and just a fun time.
