Q&A with Biljana, Owner, Instructor

Apart from your business’s main attraction, do you offer any “hidden” services or activities that visitors are always delighted to learn about?
AARTWERK Studio is both an educational and entertainment enterprise. Our studio is serious during the working days and fun and light at night, as we believe that art has a multiplicity of forms, all having their legitimate place in our culture. We offer immersive drawing and painting courses for both absolute beginners and advanced students. We also have special BYOB events, like Tea & Biscuit Hours and Brunch and Brushes, which include complementary treats.

What special training do you or your staff have?
I hold an MFA degree from Pratt Institute, NY, BFA from Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Serbia, and have substantial teaching experience.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn’t cover?
We will have a series of lectures that aim to deepen participants’ understanding and appreciation of art. Lecture topics include how to look at paintings, as well as contemporary theoretical debates on art. These lectures will be open to anyone who wants to learn, even if you are not taking the studio courses.
