Artist Barrett T. Leary spends his time creating wearable pieces of art, working from their perch above the cloud line. His tattoo studio, Above the Clouds Tattoo, stands at 8,995 feet in the town of Woodland Park. While customers are entranced by the town's panoramic Rocky Mountain views, Barrett sets to work decorating torsos and limbs with everything from the Tree of Life, to portraits of zombie girls, to pouncing lions that don't understand why they can't catch the gazelle tattooed on your leg. Those designs have nabbed recognition throughout his career—Barrett appeared in the National Tattoo Association's magazine.
