Absolute Ballroom & Dance Center, named Pittsburgh's Best Ballroom Dance Lessons in 2009 by Pittsburgh magazine, hosts a cavalcade of classes for dancers of all experience levels. Its swing-dance classes illuminate the jiving basics of West Coast swing, jitterbug, and East Coast swing. Aspiring rug-cutters and professional carpet installers can arrive with or without partners (partners will also need a Groupon to attend), and then sashay their way across Absolute's 2,500 square feet of floating hardwood dance floors. Classes include one hour of instruction, overlooked and guided by one of Absolute's world-class instructors.
