Recent studies show that people who dance tend to possess above-average strength, endurance, and flexibility, as well as a significantly lower risk of getting served. Hone this vital skill with today’s Groupon: for $30, you get a four-week Latin-dance course at Absolute Ballroom & Dance Center of Pittsburgh (a $60 value). Classes begin January 5 and are held every Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Absolute Ballroom & Dance Center, which was named Pittsburgh's Best Ballroom Dance Lessons in 2009 by Pittsburgh magazine, hosts a cavalcade of classes for dancers of all experience levels. Its Latin-dance classes illuminate the hip-swerving basics of cha-cha, rumba, mambo/salsa, and swing. Aspiring rug-cutters and professional carpet installers can arrive with or without partners (partners will also need a Groupon to attend), and then sashay their way across Absolute's 2,500 square feet of floating hardwood dance floors. Classes include one hour of instruction, followed by a 30-minute practice party, all overlooked and guided by one of Absolute's world-class instructors.

Pittsburgh magazine awarded Absolute Ballroom & Dance Center of Pittsburgh the title of Best Ballroom Dance Lessons in 2009. The studio was also featured in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
