Q:

I have 2 questions 1.) Would you be able to accommodate a group of 6? and 2.) Do you use lead or top rope set ups? (at least half of the group of 6 has some top rope climbing experience). Thanks

Amanda  asked on  Apr 2, 2013

A:

Amanda, We can accomodate a group of 6 easily. It probably makes the most sense to buy a 4 and 2 person Groupon. Also, we can do either top ropes or lead cilmbs depending upon interest. That can be discussed at the time you make your reservation. Thanks for your question and look forward to climbing with you.

1.)We can definitely accommodate a group of six. However, a group of six can present challenges depending on the groups goals and desires. A question like that is best answered over the phone, where we can discuss all of the options available to you. Give us a call at (207) 866 7562. 2.)Depending on which of the many locations you can climb at we make use of different set ups. If we take you to the iconic Otter Cliffs, (climbing over the ocean!) we use a form of top roping. If we go to the Precipice (multi-pitch options exist for the appropriate group) the majority of the set ups will require the guide to lead the climb and set a top rope for you to climb on. Alex

Q:

Can beginners take this class? and Is there a weight limit?

nicole c.  asked on  Apr 1, 2013

A:

Beginners can take the "class". We are very good at teaching beginners, so good you might say we specialize in it. We pride ourselves on our ability to find terrain that clients will find success on but also be challenged. We are fortunate enough to be located in Acadia National Park which has a variety of locations to climb at, making it the perfect place to learn to climb and it's beauty is unrivaled! There is no weight minimum or maximum; small or big we'll take you climbing! Alex
