As seen from high above, humans look like ants, and ants look like tiny humans with a penchant for aphid farming. See the world from a loftier point of view with this Groupon.
Choose From Three Options
- $99 for a 20-minute acrobatic flight lesson for one (a $220 value)
- $99 for a 30-minute scenic flight over Waimea Falls for one (a $230 value)
- $120 for a 20-minute thrill-seeker flight for two (a $249 value)
The 20-minute options cannot be used for the Waimea Falls flight.
The 20-minute acrobatic flight lesson grants single passengers with an education on piloting a glider, and includes a logbook and completion certificate. During the 30-minute Waimea Falls tour, one passenger can observe vistas of Waimea Bay and Waimea Falls through the plane's bubble-top canopy. At a safe altitude, the pilot disengages the engine to glide gracefully on the air currents and waltz with the trade winds, even briefly letting passengers take the controls, until touching down on the runway. The thrill-seeker flight ignites adrenaline glands as FAA–certified pilots perform roller-coaster maneuvers such as lazy eights and hammerheads.
Acroflight International's FAA–certified pilots grant sightseers a nene's-eye view of the North Shore and verdant landscape of Waimea Valley, which stretches across 1,800 acres of land. Inside blissfully quiet gliders, lush greenery and azure waters pass by underfoot as pilots wend their way toward waterfalls, shorelines, and remote sea cliffs, or hop to a nearby island. In stark contrast to these serene jaunts, aerobatic flights turn Hawaii on its head with flips, spins, and twirls that experienced acrobatic pilots customize to suit each passenger’s adrenaline levels.
