About Acting Coach Online

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition

Studio Director, Donald Rey, is committed to training actors in a challenging, supportive and professional environment. We take special care to give specific guidance to individuals and keep class sizes small to guarantee development. Our teachings are based upon the 12 Guideposts of Michael Shurtleff, author of “Audition” the acting Bible. Mastery of these principles complements instinct and talent with a practical set of skills. Improvisation training is an important part of all our classes to ensure maximum growth in audition technique. ACT.ED classes are highly recommended by professional agents in the Dallas area.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

Donald Rey was born to act and teach. He studied acting at Howard University's renowned theatre program and improv at New York's Upright Citizens Brigade. He has concentrated on Meisner Technique and Method Acting with renowned coaches such as Kirk Baltz of LA, Wynn Handman of NY and Dallas's own Glenn Moreshower. His acting credits include: NBC’s Law and Order: Criminal Intent, HBO's The Wire, Comedy Central’s Chappelle's Show, USA Network’s Queen of the South, and over 40 commercials. Donald has been teaching acting for over 10 years for the likes of Kids International Talent Agency (DC), Take3Talent (NY), Kim Dawson Studios (TX), and Page Parkes Management (TX). Being a parent of young actors in the industry, Donald delivers a distinct edge to his teachings for children and adults in the classroom.
