About Active Bodies Active Minds Indoor Playground and Education Centre
As a play-based indoor playground and wheelchair-accessible facility, Active Bodies Active Minds Educational Playground ignites mind fires in little ones aged 10 through infancy in hands-on discovery in their interactive play environment. Mentioned in Today's Parent magazine as one of Canada's best playgrounds, they encourage mental exploration and social interaction with problem-solving games, social discovery, and sensory stimulation and harness play-based activities and specially designed toys to broaden little minds. Knowledge-thirsty children are free to romp through the open playground, which promotes learning within a two-tier play structure equipped with slides, a racetrack, and imaginative play area. Toddlers and infants are welcome to pump up big brains in their own play area. Active Bodies Active Minds keeps its littlest explorers safe with cushions, soft play equipment, and colourful toys as they learn new things, such as where adults go during games of peekaboo. Their newest addition–LEGO birthday party workshops–are for building block enthusiasts over four years old.
The centre also hosts seminars and workshops designed by early-childhood educators and accredited community organizations for children and their caregivers. It provides activities devoted to the physical, emotional, and social development of kids and encourage parental participation in play activities.
