Resort Watersports' seasoned instructors offer lessons in sailing and outfit water wranglers with sailboat rentals. After climbing aboard a 14-foot sailboat, an instructor teaches each pair of boaters the basic tenets of wave riding over the course of the half-hour lesson, imparting knowledge of wind reading, the parts of the ship, and how to block phone calls from malicious sirens. Undocked duos are then free to explore the watery nooks and crannies of Mission Bay with a one-hour sailboat rental, bobbing on the waves and speed-reciting The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
