Professional photographer Adrian Vega, winner of the first prize in the Latino Art Bravissimo contest in 2008 and 2009, specializes in creating sultry yet sweet boudoir and pinup images for all sizes of women ages 18 to 60, with a modern twist. Boudoir photography captures feminine forms in lingerie-clad poses using evocative angles and skillfully arranged lighting. Alternatively, pinup shots often stem from a candid, arty aesthetic, and saucy subjects can choose a particular character or situation to personalize each shot for themselves, a cherished companion, or identical twin. Subjects spend 90 minutes in Vega’s studio and refuel between frames with complimentary refreshments. Groupon holders are also eligible for $20 off of a professional preshoot makeup application in order to ensure mugs are at their photographic finest, and a coupon for 15% off any additional photography services or products. After the sizzling snap-fest, Vega posts all of the shoot's images (approximately 300) to a password-protected online gallery from which centerfold subjects can choose the 25 shots they want professionally edited and permanently etched onto a CD. Models also receive a video slideshow of the chosen frames, complete with music to accompany shots of any kitchen-savvy siren, chaise-lounging lady, or scantily clad beekeeper.
Adrian Vega Photography
During his over 20 years as a professional photographer, Adrian Vega has strived to inject excitement into his photo shoots. Although Adrian Vega confessed to PhotoShelter that he focused on weddings at the beginning of his photographic career, he always felt like there were moments worth capturing beyond nuptial ceremonies. As a creative exercise, Adrian refocused his lens onto boudoir shoots, and discovered he enjoyed coaching and encouraging his clients while collaborating with them to create empowering, intimate images. In his 1,400-square-foot studio, Adrian Adrian also harnesses his insatiable energy to craft sets, props, and gadgets that enhance each shoot, a dedication to his work that has earned him two consecutive first prizes in the Latino Art Bravisimo contest and a half-page spread in the French magazine Photo.
