The family-owned South Tacoma eatery's menu boasts authentic Italian fare molded into palate-pleasing portions by chef-owner Bill Trudnowski. The midday menu features soups, salads, pizza, sandwiches (such as a grilled ahi sandwich with fresh veggies, caper-artichoke tartar, and oregano-kalamata dressing, $14), and pared-down versions of decadent dinner dishes. For dinner, start filling appetite buckets with an order of the antipasti Adriatic ($13.50) or the steamed local clams simmered with sweet-basil pesto and fresh herbs ($12.50). The eatery's wood-burning, 800-degree forno oven chars pizza and pasta dishes to a degree of Rome-approved perfection, so split a margherita pizza ($13) or oven-fired five-cheese manicotti ($14). To quell carnivorous cravings, indulge in the specialty 20-ounce sea-salt-and-cracked-pepper-crusted T-bone Fiorentina ($34), or the 12-ounce bone-in, fire-grilled pork chop rubbed with rosemary and roasted garlic, served with roasted fingerling potatoes ($19).

Cleanse the stomach lining with Adriatic ambrosia, a lemon and cranberry cocktail infused with Stoli Razberi ($8), or let a spirit from Adriatic's full bar or wine selection flow freely through your veins.
