What You'll Get

In an effort to maintain balanced temperaments, pirates kept a stockpile of paddleboards for platonic romps through peaceful ponds in between pillaging, looting, and sharpening their hook hands. Peacefully explore the open waters with today's Groupon to Adventure Water Sports' two Mission Bay locations. Choose from the following options:

• For $11, you get a two-hour, one-person ocean kayak rental at The Dana Hotel (a $22 value).
• For $15, you get a two-hour, two-person ocean kayak rental at The Dana Hotel (a $30 value).
• For $25, you get a two-hour standup paddleboard class at the Campland on the Bay location on Pacific Beach Drive (a $60 value).

Adventure Water Sports entertains aquatic enthusiasts with scores of fanciful water frolics, such as standup paddleboarding and kayaking. Standup paddleboarding is an upright, full-body workout that uses a surfboard and single-bladed oar to navigate calm, waveless currents. Join up to six other students for a two-hour session of learning basic paddleboarding techniques, such as how to vertically master the watercraft and lay a riding foundation that's more grounded than Dennis the Menace after a slingshot convention. During each session, boarders explore Mission Bay at their own pace, roaming through the Rose Creek inlet or roving through the Kendall-Frost Mission Bay Marsh, where they can exchange awkward glances with wildlife.

Those scoping more traditional forms of aquatic antics may splash in the shorelines of The Dana Hotel in one- or two-person kayaks. Located in close proximity to Sea World, solo seafarers can paddle past the animal park for a behind-the-scenes peek at sea mammals and their trainers. Choose the popular two-person kayak for a stable and versatile ride that can accommodate two adults plus a small child and your imaginary dolphin-friend, Herman.

About Adventure Water Sports, LLC

From two outposts on the shores of Mission Bay, Adventure Water Sports, LLC launches vessels and seafaring classes to introduce customers to the joy of cutting through veils of spray and sunshine. Both launching points are near the bay's full-speed zone, so captains hoping to tote skiers behind powerboats or do donuts on a scuba diver’s lawn in waverunners don't waste valuable time idling through the no-wake zone. Kayaks, pedal boats, and paddleboards cut across the steel-blue mirror of the no-wake zone, an ideal stretch for learning and exploring.

Instructors from Adventure Water Sports impart nautical wisdom to youngsters in summer youth classes that focus on anything from waterskiing and wakeboarding to riding aqua cycles. The waterfront retailers also rent out single and tandem terrestrial bicycles for those looking to cruise the Mission Beach boardwalk or simply explain the motorcycle noises they are making with their mouths.

By purchasing this deal you'll unlock points which can be spent on discounts and rewards. Every 5,000 points can be redeemed for $5 Off your next purchase.
