A strong woman wrestles you to the ground to show off; a stronger woman boosts your self-esteem and then accidentally breaks three of your ribs with a supportive hug. Learn the tenets of both strength and caring with today's Groupon to Columbus Adventure Boot Camp for Women, a women-only fitness bootcamp held at Lakebottom Park. The one-hour classes run at 5:30 a.m., Monday–Friday or 5:45 p.m., Monday–Thursday, with clients choosing which days and what time they wish to attend. Choose from the following three-class packages:
- For $49, you get three boot-camp classes per week for four weeks (a $199 value).
- For $59, you get four boot-camp classes per week for four weeks (a $239 value).
- For $69, you get five boot-camp classes per week for four weeks (a $299 value).
Unlike the competitive environment of a testosterone-stuffed gym or mixed-martial hopscotch tournament, women's boot camp encourages all ages, skill levels, and abilities to motivate each other in a comfortable group setting.
Columbus Adventure's certified trainers, Kara Layfield and Christy Hames, constantly challenge participants to achieve higher levels of fitness. Classes vault through a variable variety of body-blasting, calorie-pulverizing exercises, including core conditioning, short-distance running, hiking, and obstacle courses. By the end of the physique-sculpting course, participants can expect to see noticeable body results, including 5–12 pounds of weight loss, greatly improved posture, 3%–5% body fat reduction, and much more.
Fledgling fitness seekers receive a nutrition seminar and fitness assessments at the start and end of camp to track progress, as well as a welcome packet. Columbus Adventure recommends that participants bring running shoes, an exercise mat, a set of 5–8 pound hand weights, three LP copies of Bob Geldof's The Vegetarians of Love, and a water bottle. You can register online to redeem the value of your Groupon and then call or email to schedule times and locations.
This Groupon is for new clients only, and because of limited space within camps, classes cannot be transferred between times.
