Boot camps apply military concepts to daily life, as do dance parties set to Morse code and tanks converted into school buses. Declassify your abs with today's Groupon: for $35, you get eight boot-camp sessions at Adventure Boot Camp's downtown Sacramento location (a $99 value). This Groupon is valid for two boot-camp classes per week for four straight weeks. Click here for a schedule of class times.
Created by fitness camp expert Dr. John Spencer Ellis and led by certified trainer Anthony Adedipe, Adventure motivates bodies to build muscles and drop pounds with an outdoor exercise regimen designed exclusively for women. One-hour sessions blend fitness instruction with nutritional counseling and motivational training, and each class keeps campers guessing with new exercises to master and international thieves to capture. Women of all workout backgrounds stretch, lift, and kick toward individual fitness goals, and recruits bond with one another during team workouts in the supportive Adventure atmosphere. Pre- and post-program evaluations track campers' progress, and individual results often include a loss of 5–12 pounds, a decrease of 1–3 midsection inches, and a 300% increase in fist-pump capacity. Adventure's sessions run Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at either 5:30 a.m. or 6 p.m.

When sharing his fitness expertise with Village Life, Anthony Adedipe lauded the effects of exercise, maintaining that physical activity "releases endorphins" and "keeps you energized." The certified trainer is distinctively knowledgeable on matters of fitness and health due to his lifetime of athletic experience, his years playing college football, and a decade working in the fitness industry. Anthony brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to his branch of the nationally accredited Adventure Boot Camp, where he and his staff of certified trainers lead women through imaginative, high-intensity workouts. The coaches conduct classes outdoors at Washington Park and occasionally take class field trips to special locations, mixing things up by jogging through a forest or confusing security guards by crab walking through the airport. In addition to fitness instruction, trainers provide members with nutritional advice and pre- and post-measurements.
