The roughly 6-mile Country Tour follows Fredensborg Canyon Road, a route along which tourists can spot plentiful wildlife. Alternately, the 5-mile City Tour wends through the Danish city of Solvang, following the town’s river and passing by the city’s landmarks. Both tours close with a wine tasting at the Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards Tasting Room, voted the best tasting room in the area by readers of the Santa Ynez Valley News.
On the Figueroa Mountain tour, participants follow their guide up a paved road to the mountain’s peak, more than 4,000 feet above sea level. At the mountain’s summit, groups stop for boxed lunches and a wine tasting.
All tours include a mandatory orientation on Segway use, all the necessary equipment—including a helmet—and a guide.

About Segway Tours of Solvang
In the olden days, cowboys explored the West astride their trusty horses. Segway Tours of Solvang puts a modern spin on this tradition, by organizing guided tours that explore Western terrain atop a more modern steed—the segway.
After a mandatory training session on segway handling, guides lead segway tours through the Danish city of Solvang, stopping to see a river sanctuary and the ancient live oaks in Hans Christian Andersen Park. The company also offers wine-tasting tours, along with tours in Colorado and Arizona, where explorers can drink in the sights and scenery from transport that ranges from Jeeps to hot-air balloons.
